About Captain Wes

Captain Wes was born in Acworth, GA, but spent his childhood on St. George Island fishing with his father and grandfather. While attending Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee, he spent most of his time on SGI. In 2010, he made St. George Island his permanent home when he married his wife, Joanna.

His love of the water is evident. Captain Wes holds a USCG 100 Masters Captain’s license. With a life-long love of the water, there is no other place he would rather be! Captain Wes’ passion for the water and this area is obvious to all who know him. He will customize your trips for your enjoyment and safety.

Captain Wes knows these waters and how and where the fish are. On your trip, you may catch Grouper, Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Cobia, Redfish, Trout, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Tripletail, Flounder, White Trout, Sea Bass, Trigger Fish and many others.

Captain Wes gives back to his community as a member of the St. George Island Volunteer Fire Department.
